Chapitre Quartier Molson

Montoni & Fonds immobilier de solidarité FTQ

The first building in Quartier Molson, CHAPITRE Quartier Molson will set in motion the transformation of the former brewery site into a new waterfront neighbourhood in the heart of Montreal. Developed by MONTONI and the Fonds immobilier de solidarité FTQ, the project will comprise 383 rental units across 27 storeys. This first phase is part of the site's master plan, which calls for housing, retail, a school, a hotel, and public spaces within an environment shaped by its industrial heritage and its proximity to the St. Lawrence River.

The architecture is organized around a slender stepped tower rising from a six-storey, human-scale podium. The arrangement preserves visual corridors through the site while offering residents and common areas panoramic views of the river, downtown, Mount Royal, the Jacques-Cartier Bridge, and Ile Sainte-Helene. At ground level, a food market will bring life to the street and serve the surrounding community, while a landscaped interior courtyard will be accessible from a triple-height entrance lobby opening onto rue Montcalm.
